 Our daughters greatly enjoyed Mary Beth as a teacher. They would comment that she taught them well but also that she was patient and encouraging,  giving words of affirmation and gentle suggestions on how to improve their skills. As a parent, I appreciated her prompt arrivals, clear communication via texting, and most of all, that she taught a very well-rounded lesson that included practice, theory, musical skills, simple games, memorization, flashcards, etc. 

 After hearing me play piano, my friends were astounded to learn that I've only been taking lessons for 6 months. I credit my success to my teacher. She inspires me to excel.

 Mary is an exceptional teacher. She got to know me as a person. She understands how to help me succeed.  I don't think I am her typical student. I am elderly with debilitating health problems.  While it had been a life long dream of mine to play the piano, the opportunity did not arise until recently.  Mary accommodates my needs. She is sensitive to my limitations and finds ways to help me succeed.  I am so grateful to Mary.  It brings me great pleasure to sit at the piano and play music. 

 Miss Mary is nice and kind. She interacts with my son so favorably that this shy boy is willing to open up himself and absorb Miss Mary's conducive instruction. My son enjoys every lesson with Miss Mary. I, the boy's mom, have rudimentary knowledge in piano and music. I have been coaching my son's weekly practice using Miss Mary's well-planned assignments (music piece, sight reading cards, rhythm, theory, etc.). After one and half years of taking piano lesson with Miss Mary, my son can play numerous pieces that he himself can enjoy and have fun with. Miss Mary also develops students' creative side in her curriculum and integrates improvisation in practice. Sometimes, I feel drawn to my son's improvised play. I would recommend Miss Mary with the highest regard.

 Mary Beth is very patient (especially with the younger students). She is very creative in implementing games to keep her students engaged. This is our 2nd year of lessons with her and my girls look forward to their lessons every week.
